Our response to PHE's findings about Coronavirus in the BAME population

Due to the extremely important nature of our response to PHE report into COVID-19 outcomes and BAME and the apparent lack of authority of PHE in the decisions of DHSC, I had consultations earlier this afternoon with various BAME Medical Associations and we took the decision to direct the letter to Matt Hancock and Kemi Badenoch.

PHE was copied in alongside NHSE and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Dr Chaand Nagpaul Chairman of BMA also joined in as a signatory to the letter.

The updated letter to Mr Matt Hancock, Health Secretary has now been carried by ITV news and the Times online as attached for your viewing.
